Drop factory
Add money and power
Use radial menu toadd schematic
Add needed resources to input hopper (via radial). Multiply number of items desired by required resources for 1 item to get total of needed resources.
Use radial to turn on factory
Examine factory to see how many seconds each item will take
Divide number by 3600 to see how long the run will take in hours (might be less than an hour)
At the end of this time, use radial to open output hopper and get your stuff.

awesome
. do the schematics require the same material that was made to use it? as far as quality goes?

The factory requires that the exact same materials be used. Additionally, if you need any components to make the item, the components you put into the factory must have the exact same serial number as thecomponents used to make the schematic.
Clarification Example
Suppose you make a factory schematic for an Uber-Robot using the following materials:
- 25 units of a steel named "Uber-Steel"
- 15 units of Talusian fiberplast named "Pwnage"
- 1 robot flying device with serial number: l33tp@rtz
For every Uber-Robot you want to make with your factory you must place 25 Uber-Steel, 15 Pwnage, and 1 robot flying device with serial number l33tp@rtz into your factory's input hopper. If you run out of any of those materials you have to either get some more from someone else or delete the schematic and start over again with a new one. If you run out of robot flying devices with serial number l33tp@rtz, then you have to either make more using the factory schematic that you used to make the original robot flying device, or you have to start again. Once an item with a serial number is gone you will never get another one with the same serial number unless it is made from the same factory schematic.
I hope that helps! Good luck!
