To date I've been using my General Crafting Kit to make everything; Clothing, Food, Weapons, everything. However, I've seen that as an Artisan I can create specialised kits. I've also seen those giant crafting stations inside of cities.

Is there any advantage to using a specialised kit, or a large crafting station, as opposed to just using my General crafting kit?

Also, I've seen people mentioning that they get EXP whenever you sell an item on the bazaar that another person uses. When I build an item with my crafting kit, I get EXP for that. Does that mean if I make an item, sell it, then the person uses my item, I get even MORE exp?

Yes, yes and yes.

At a certain point you will start needing specialized kits to make some of your items, same goes for those in town crafting stations. Another thing the town crafting station is good for is experimenting. Try standing next to a weapon station and use the specialized gun crafting tool. You'll see whole new options open up. You’ll be able to change how good the item is by experimenting in this way. There is also extra XP giving when someone else uses your times. So if you sell something on the bazaar and they use it you get more XP (it doubles your xp in most cases)

Hope that helps.

I went up to one of the clothing crafting stations in the Commerce Guild and opened up my specialized Clothing Crafting Kit, but I still had the same options of clothes that I had with the General Crafting Kit. Do the crafting stations just make the items better? Is that the "experimenting" that everyone keeps mentioning?

i have just started with the experimenting myself, but when you get the normal you ahve succefully made blah blah blah you come to a new screen with 3 choices and the bottom is experiment. click this and go through the experimenting phase of weapons. I have done quite well in this and made some nice stuff for myself last night

No. Did you go through all the steps? Its should have added a few towards the end. One of them allows you to use your experimentation points to make better items.

Chloe, which schematics you get depends on complexity. For clothing, the schematics granted are the same until well into the Tailoring branch. Experimentation currently has zero effect on clothing, so you don't need a specialized crafting tool or crafting station until your item complexity rises (and don't waste any time getting good materials, either -- material quality has no effect on clothing).

This is subject to change, but it seems to rank very, very low on the priority list.
