well, i was in the beta, and no one was a master artisan... why? cause they dont offer any good benefit what so ever. i believe the parts they make are for droid engineers, but thats such a small market, and wont be viable for quite a while. come on devs, give the players some incentive on getting that skill. i believe that more artisan experimentation points and crafting points would be good, and hopefully schematics for some cool items, such as 2 good weapons, 1 good food, 1 good clothing item, and a surveying bonus. hopefully some other people have some good ideas about this.

What are you talking about? Master Artisan aren’t worthless. Everyone who wants to make high level things in their other master professions (like droid and architect) has to either also be a master artisan or buy parts from a master artisan. As an Architect I gave tons of cash to master artisans in beta…

What components are used by architects which are made by Master Artisans? I am one and I heard that architects can use my items, but I don't know what they need . I'm guessing it will be awhile before anyone needs it, but I'm still interested.

Off the top of my head I can’t tell you. But I do remember I have to buy two different items from master Crafters to make my high level houses and guild halls.

Master artisans are actually quite useful. If you want to build a PA hall you need a master artisan to make components for the power generators.

High end weapon smithing often requires control chips and some of he other master artisan recipes.

Droid engineering any droid blue prints 3 and higher usually requires 1 or more master artisan components.

Armor smithing some high end armors also require control chips or various other master artisan recipes.

The only elite class based off artisan that I can think of that dosn't have recipes that use master artisan crafted items is the Merchant.

Our PA's master artisan in beta had a steady flow of requests for components. In fact due to this and since my primary profession will be droid engineer I am aiming for master artisan first.

I was wondering what the birdcage is for? Or how you use it. In beta I remember no one figuring out how to use it, and I was wondering if it has a purpose yet
