Thread: If you are going to nerf the crafters, can we at least get the cap on the bazaar raised?

With the crazy costs that are going to be associated with the latest patch, there is no way we can break even selling things for 3K max on the bazaar. Can we get that raised to 10K or so?

I guess I could shout out all the stuff I'm selling.... I mean, what else do I have to do since I can only sample twice a minute.

And as for the 'new' crital events when sampling....

You successfully locate a 8 unit sample of Iloci.

You successfully recover a particularly rich sample.

Yea, I just crafted a deed for a Wind Generator...but I can't exactly sell it on the bazaar without losing all self-esteem. I mean, I just posted in the other thread about us being Nerfed and I'm really wondering why in the heck the game designers made this decision?

Not only do I have to worry about finding ways to make money, I also have to worry about losing business. I am known on the Corbantis server as one of the fairest businessmen around. I sell items for 10% of their actual cost because I want customers. I can't do that now; I have to pay to keep my harvesters maintenanced (which I've decided I'm not going to do). This means, that I have to actually charge people large sums of credits for my stuff. Well, so much for being fair......and I want to go ahead and apologize to all the newbs out there....look like you'll be paying 1k credits for an Improved CDEF pistol after all.

I'm not sure what you mean here. If someone is gonna pay you more than 3000 for a wind generator, you should sell them some swamp land on Dantooine too. I haven't made 3k for any harvester since the third day, when someone else started making them too.

I suspect that rather than being known as "fair" you are probably known as "a sucker". Selling stuff for well below what it's worth screw up the economy, and gives consumers false expectations about what things take to make.

You make it sound like it's not fair to charge someone what something is worth. But by the very definition of "worth", charging them exactly that much is "fair". Charging them more is "unfair", and charging them less is "charity".

-Well, Phil, I have to find a way to make credits now; at least enough to ensure I make 4-5k per day tokeep my machines maintenanced. Normally, I would never sell a wind generator for more than 1k. Now, looks like someone will have to give me about 3500.

-As far as me being "a sucker" as you put it. It seems your preconcieved notions are wrong again. I don't haggle with a customer and then give in to them by selling an item for 10% of it's worth. Instead I simply tell them what I have and tell them what I'm selling it for. They're thrilled that they're getting such a deal and they return in the future. That's why I have such good business. This hardly hurts the economy. It helps it because people keep coming back and coming back.

-What's not fair is me not being able to set my own price and keep my harvesters maintained. If I want to sell Bone Armor Chestplates for 400 credits, I will. Now, I'll be forced to sell Newbie players an Improved CDEF for 500....or some awful number like that. This is going to hurt the economy, not help it.
