Thread: Will last patch increase macro samplers?

Wouldn't you think that the latest patches would increase the amount of people using macro samplers. Now it takes longer to sample. So why sit and wait? Seems like it could have a very backwards effect.

Yes, in fact, I'll now run *2* accounts macro-sampling because of this change.

your exactly right its going to kill the casual gamer, who i beleive they once referred to as they wanted to appeal to that audience, so much for the promises made before release.

I swear gaming companies are getting worse than politicians at promises.

All they needed to do was limit macroing in some way to prevent sample macroing. Now they've angered every crafter out there, and increased the reason to do exactly what they didn't want.

I just use harvesters. Fire and forget then rebuild them every few days. Only times I sample anymore is while waiting for a shuttle.

In my opinion, it's bad enough that as a weaponsmith and droid engineer, I have no choice but to grind through the first levels. Nobody wants a D18 pistol or a mouse droid and come on, making 400 of each to get to the point of being able to make something people want? Yeah right. Sooo, in addition to this click-fest-carpel-tunnel-inducing insanity, now I have to put my character out to pasture for even longer periods of time to gather resources? I've tried harvesters, and sorry to say, they are too expensive for what they generate, so I'm left with no choice but to macro sample.

The other side effect here is that everything will now cost alot more money, so everyone complaining that my scout blasters cost 3k better buy them fast because 5k is just around the corner...

Saice, that won't work anymore... you now have to keep them at 100% (i.e. lots of money). No more setting them loose and letting them rot.

That won't work any more.

The harvesters now stop at 99%. You will have to start paying for those few days.

Hmm, 3 power harvesters cost = 1440x3 to run. Eight mineral Harvestes cost 720X8 to run. So for 10 lots should run around 10k per day. So instead of sampling all day, u now have to run some missions, or make sales to get the cash for the harvesters.

I think the purpose of the patch was to slow down overnight macro samplers and give more meaning to harvesters. Ten harvester bring in alot of resources, just have to maintain them which is 10k a day. While i have other gripes and complains, i really cant fault them too much on this one.,

Bingo. All you need to do is unequip your gun so you can get level 5 dif missions they play 900-1100 credits. then go out do two at a time have your 10k in about an hour (about 10 minutes a trip)
