I would like to thank all the crafters out there trying to lowball the market withproductsvalued 1/10th the cost ofsimilar productsin the same region. I will happily purchase them and take the extra 9/10ths to line my pocket (after expenses, of course). After tickets and 20 creds, I make a real good profit. So please keep sending me your bone armor for 100 credits a pop. I have bought and sold my way into heavy harvesters thanks to you.

I enjoy checking the bazaar on my way through towns as I shout that I am selling travel packs. The travel packs may or may not get sold, but I make money without having to go on delivery missions. It's like SWG Day Trading. I keep the market from bottoming out before new artisans have a chance to make a credit. I support local crafters and I tip well. I encourage as many people as possible to keep the economy going by becoming rich on the backs of the ignorant. And I encourage the ignorant to check the market before pricing their wares.Their loss and my gain, if they refuse. And the market won't lose any sleep.

Devs? Do you think there would be a way to allow Merchants to earn Merchant XP by working the bazaar in such a way? Perhaps getting experience for purchasing items in another region and travelling out to pick them up? Something else with a realistic feel, to help speed Merchants along.

Let me take this opportunity to point out my "Dev question: vehicles, spacecraft, and base artisan suggestions" posting (stupid forums won't let me post a link), which includes an idea for implementing a commodities market into the game...

Dunno how they could implement XP into it, but it would certainly give more of a stockbroker feel to things.

My hand's been cut off, my friend's frozen in a block of carbonite, and it turns out the guy that killed my teacher is also my father. But I have good news... I just saved a bunch of money by switching my X-Wing's insurance to Geico.

Actually, what you are doing is arbitrage, and it's very good for the overall economy. Frankly, it's mostly necessary because the stupid UXP rules encourage crafters to dump cheap junk in the bazaar rather than trying to turn a profit by creating good weapons and armor. It's still possible to sell good stuff to the cognoscenti, but most players just sort the bazaar by price and buy what's on the bottom.

Unfortunately, the 20 item bazaar limit and the 3000cr price cap on instant sales both limit the liquidity and efficiency of this market. With a higher cap, I'd probably be buying and selling on the bazaar a LOT more. Also, we won't see houses, harvesters etc. on the bazaar until the price cap is raised. IMO those two are BIG issues that are SUPER easy to fix.

BTW, if something is very cheap, I don't always resell it - I often destroy it. Someone who puts a bone armor chestplate on the bazaar for 100cr doesn't deserve the UXP.
