Thread: My burning question ...
I know that materials have an effect on the final product but im confused about one certian thing. Ill try to say what i mean by useing an example.
Wind Power Generator
145 metal
45 steel
40 low-grade ore
20 non-ferrous metal
10 aluminum
Expermintal Data
Decay Rate -
decay resistance 33%
unit toughness 66%
Now here is my question..which of the materials has the most impact on the decay rate? Say for example that i wanted to create a an expermintal wind power generator that was very efficient. The schematic lists decay resistance 33% and unit toughness 66%. How do i know what metals contribute towards this ? Do all materials have to be the highest toughness and decay resistance ? Thanks for any help.
Usually, the material with the greatest impact of the original numbers (before you started experimenting) is the 145 units of metal. If you use something kind of low-grade, like aluminum or copper (that have low overall quality ratings), the original percentages after you've constructed it, but before you start experimenting, will be a lot lower. Try to use high-quality steel for that 145 metal units.
If at all possible, try to use high-quality materials for every part of it. But if you can't, you'll have to make due with what you can find.
