Thread: How do Fusion Power Generators work?

Everyone seems to have varying opinions or just straight out doesnt know. So far I'm pretty sure they use radioactive? so that would mean use the mineral survey device? I tried using it on Lok and Tatooine only finding radioactive didnt appear on the list of minerals. So where can I drop this sucker? What planets are radioactive? Thanks in advance!
They work very well.
Yup they use radio-active material that show up using mineral survey device
But they are kinda fickle. For example on gorath, sometimes they appear, sometimes don't. When they DO appear, they usally stick around for days just like any other resource. I wouldn't throw away that solar generator if I were you cause there were times when it didn't show upt for days.
Once they do show up, concentration is usually good. 75 - 95% has been my experience unlike solar or wind. And at 12k max, you usually get good 9 - 10k avg power per 24 hr period which is enough to support 6-7 heavies. Just keep looking.
Oh, also I don't know if it is just me but when it show up in one "newbie" planet, it usually show up in all other startup planets as well, but once it show up, it may dissappear from some planets fater than other. Anyone else had this problem?
Mine is giving 14-18k on a 75% source. My Guestion is does the ore you get deposited just like wind and solar?

Basically they are mineral harvesters that only pull radioactives. You get the same type of material hand-sampling (don't hand sample radioactives!) but in large quantities that normal mining installations can't pull.
Radioactives work as power just like solar and wind, and are also used in some weapon schematics.
