So im getting totally owned by this guy one day... and i think to myself "why is his gun, the same as mine, so FREAKIN' awsome, while mine sucks?" So i ask the guy, while he looks down on me and laughs. The answer was of corse: A kick ass power up.

Fast forward 6 hours later, and im working my way up to weapon smith. Cause i will not be dieingdue to a crappy power up again (total lake of skill, maybe).

Now i want to make the BEST ranged power ups, but i have NO idea how to do so! What skill tree(s) do i need to master? What parts (barrel, scope, muzzel, ect.) are best? What materials are best? and why do some power ups have 2 attributes and most only 1?

Im off to die some more, any information AT ALL would be great. Even "Hey, Fiweest, you must suck" would at least be kinda helpful.

Check out the crafting guide that is somewhere on this site. It will show where the attributes are for ingrediants and what attributes are important in making weapons and powerups. The stats on materials vary from server to server, so there is no way to know without first sampling some (or detailing them on the bazaar) what is good and what is not... but I believe copper usually has high conductivity (which may be important).

You don't have to be a weapnsmith to make good powerups. Just an aritisan with skills on eng and dom arts. If you max both those branches you will be able to make the best powerups possible. The only qualities you need to care about when getting resources for powerups is OQ greater than 950 if possible. You will also need two good weapon crafting tools (effectiveness 10+ if possible) and be by a crafting station whencrafting so you can experiment. Since you are a fighter it would be nice to have a crafting station in a droid, then you can make powerups whenever you setup camp.

Overall Resource Quality is the only thing that matters for powerups. I've been making +32% (main attribute), +16% (secondary), and +12% (tertiary) with the Amone ore that's currently on Tatooine and some old 934 OC fiberplast. Powerups... out of ore. Funny.

Anyway, you need 10 experiment points to make the finest powerups, but being human or rodian helps as well. Use good equipment and good materials and just crank them out. 300-400 credits for a triple powerup seems to sell steadily, but local conditions may vary.

As for how to get double and triple (and even quadruple) bonuses on a single powerup... sorry, that's classified.

Not classified... you experiment one point at a time. Each time you experiment it randomly affects a new 2ndary attribute.

Of course this means greater possibility for critical failure.

seems to be that when I'm in the 40-60% range new 2ndary attributes pop up... not sure how to garuntee that I'll fail an experiment tho (maybe summon my droid w/crafting station during that one?)
