I'm a new crafter.. and I have no idea about a couple things.

When it comes to the crafting tools, is tool effectiveness better the higher the number? or is the negative number mean it's better?

Second question is for the crafting stations: the functionality rating...same as above... higher or lower?

I ask these questions because I've been given different answers by many different people, and I've yet to find the answer posted anywhere.

The higher the number the "better" the tool or station. However, from all my experience, the quality of the tool or station makes absolutely no difference to the quality of the finished product or the likelihood of a failure.
