I was wondering if you make a schematic using a certain type of materials and experiment to say 85%. When you put that schematic in your factory must you use the same type of materials or can you use others. If you use lower grades of materials what happens to your product. Thanks

Yes, you must use the same resources as used for the schematic. If you try to use a different type your factory will simply tell you you're out of ingredients and produce nothing.
