harvesters use maintenance at all times but power only when turned on and actually mining

redeeding will save the maintenace cost but uses some of the maintenance when you redeed it (1500credits for personal,3000credits for medium, and 4500 credits for heavies) there is no effect on power for redeeding.

when redeeding (destroy structure option on radial menu)make certain all of the numbers inside of the popup window are green or there is not enough maintenance in the harvester to redeed it and you will lose the deed.

Decay is only when maintenance runs out not power

The factory uses maintenance the same way as harvesters and only uses power when actually running.

Hey, I'm new to mining and using factories. I was wondering, when I turn my harvester off does it still use maintence credits? Do need to redeed it in order to prevent it from using maintence? Same question for power.

Also, when it runs out of maintence credits I know it will decay, will it also decay when it runs out of power?

I am also wondering these things for my factory. When the factory is sitting around idle, will it eat maintence and power? Or does it only require these things when actually running?

I did search for this before I posted, but I found that if I put more maintence than power in my harvesters then they would stop running before maintence ran out and wouldn't decay. The post was apparently wrong... i was thinking it was using maintence when I had it turned off, just wasn't sure if I was bugged or not.

I really love that there are so many helpful people on these forums, I just wish so much stuff didn't change so when I search for answers I don't have to wonder .o0(is this the way it is or the way it used to be?)
