Greetings,
I just picked up Artisan yesterday to help me out with my smuggling skills, but as all smuggler crafting is easy peasy I currently am at a loss.
I got two 4443 in a few hours, without grinding! I was lucky enough to make stuff I really can use (mostly molecular clamps which seel to give MAD xp, and travle packs). I made all this stuff while extracting the resources I didn't already have...thus getting XP for bith at the same time.
I would love to explore Artisan a bit more, but I need Some guidance...mainly for making power-ups (I want min/max damage pups..and just play around a bit).
Also...how do you find out what stats are important on the resources for a specific item??? I already found out SR is important for bikes, OC for weapons...but that's about it...
Thanks for any help guys

When you get to the resource stage for crafting a specific item there is a box in the lower right corner, scroll down in this box and it will state which stats are important. Hope this helps.

Referencing that crafting tool that the previous poster mentioned, you'll see that powerups require 6 units mineral and 4 units of chemical. You'll also see that only Overall Quality affects the outcome of the experimentation. So find yourself some mineral and chemical with as close to 1000 OQ as you can get.
Next, for your goal. If you're looking for Max/Min (I'm assuming Ranged) powerups, stick with Muzzles. They're your best shot to get that particular combination. Other types of ranged powerups offer different types of beneifts including HAM cost reduction, range increases, speed increases, etc.

Halaster always give good advice. I read someplace (and my experience has born it out) that if you can get the OQ above 950 then you'll usually get the 30/15% powerups. However sometimes it's easier to buy from a dedicated crafter who specialzes in those rather than take the time required to hit the bonuses you want since those are usually random and getting speed or damage ones sometimes takes hours. (if you're a pseudo combat/crafter type like me)

Dunno re the 950. You need 995+ to get 33/16, which is the max you can get.
