I'm surveying, until I'm booted from the surver!
Ok, I'm trying to Master Artisan and I'm finishing up surveying. I had my stats migrated so I can just sit there. I'm not running a script to stand up sit down, I'm actually watching the screen. For some stinking reason, I'm getting booted after a while of doing this. I can't tell you a time, it took a while, but my lord. Why would they boot me from the server? I'm not moving, granted, but I am clicking NO, I DON'T WANT TO GET UP AND FIND A BETTER SPOT, and NO, I DON'T WANT TO SPEND EXTRA ACTION TO GET A BETTER SAMPLE! So, if I'm clicking those, isn't that user feedback? I mean, do I have to get up and get back down every fifteen minutes or so, just so the stupid game knows I'm there? I even tried the CTRL+SHIFT+S thing to no avail.

if you aren't moving the server thinks you are afk and boots you after the afk limit time
maybe its inconvenient but just stand up and sit down every now and again, thats why that is in everyones survey macros.
good luck

If you don't have a macro running to keep switching your afk status while you are not moving you will get booted. I have three accounts and run two toons at the same time on one computer. If I don't have my afk macro running one will get booted and I have to relog him in.

The most easy non intrusive afk macro is one that does /mood none;
Neither you nor anyone else will notice anything (just one line in system saying your mood is now none. And it will keep you from getting kicked of the server, no standing/sitting no /afk swithing, just /mood none;
/mood none;
/pause 240;
/m notafk;

Ruehs, do you mind explaining how you got around Galaxies "one instance at a time" limitation? I also have multiple accounts, and would like to be able to swith between them at will without having to "phonebooth".

this thread tells you how to do the multiple accounts thing at once:
