I'm a mon cal and here's what I have:

health:

300

300

300

action:

1000

300

450

mind:

1300

800

650

obviously more emphasis on mind and action, but whats the best? im thinking i should focus more on action secondaries too but what should i give up? post yours or if you know a good build.

First of all, I'm assuming you're going to be a completely craft-oriented character and not have any combat skills whatsoever.

Here's a breakdown of how HAM is used by crafting characters:

HEALTH

-Useful so you don't get killed in 1 or 2 hits when you're trying to access harvesters, survey, or do other various crafting-related activities around aggressive MOBs. Also, used in Burst Run, which is always useful.

ACTION

-Used when you sample. Once you complete the Surveying tree of Artisan, you will very very rarely sample as harvesters are just so much more efficient. The only time I sample any more as a Master Artisan is when I'm trying to find out a resource's stats because it isn't listed on swgcraft.com yet. And then I only need to sample once (or twice on the rare occasion that the first sample fails). Keep it high if you want while you level up the Surveying tree, but the secondaries (Stamina, Quickness) are more important than the primary (Action) if you want to be able to do some non-stop sampling. I have a human character whose HAM is set up so that she doesn't need to ever rest while she is sampling (been that way since I created her and have just been too lazy to change it), so if you want to know exact stats that will allow you to do this let me know and I will post them tomorrow.

MIND

-Used when you survey. As a Master Artisan, I have found that Mind and its secondaries (Focus, Willpower) are more important than Action because it can get eaten up quickly if you need to do a series of rapid surveys.

Crafting itself takes no HAM, so the only 3 actions you need to consider when setting up your character are Surviving (ie Burst Run), Surveying, and Sampling. As I mentioned above, your Action isn't as important as your Quickness and Stamina in terms of keeping a /sample session going as long as possible. I'm not sure what Mon Cal stats are as I've never rolled one, but take some points out of Action (you should be fine with 600-700 Action) and max out Quickness and Stamina if they aren't already. Your Mind seems a little high, take some points out of it and increase the second secondary stat (sorry I can't remember if it's Focus or Willpower, I get them confused) if it's not already at max. I'd say the Constitution is okay at 300, but I'd want to add a little bit more to Health and possibly Strength so that if you get in a sticky situation and get hit once or twice, you still have enough HAM to Burst Run away (if for some reason your vehicle is not available). In summary:beef up Health by a few hundred points, and max out Quickness and Stamina. Take 300-400 points from Action and 300-600 points from Mind. Any extra points go to maxing out Mind secondaries if they aren't already.
