this is to those who say that master artisan doesnt make money. I started on lowca a little while back. I started as an artisan.. I ran artisan missions. I crafted from what I gathered while surveying. I had not a penny to my name to start. I continued doing this and managed to make a few items on the bazaar. I used the money to invest in low grade rescources once I could start making my own harvesters. i would upgrade them when i could. i continued doing this for a while, upgrading slowly. i eventually had enough to get a nice med harv. i used it to harvest some 997 cd copper, slowly. i realized these made really good repair kits. I used it to sell a few at a time, for 6k in coronet, until i could afford a factory. in the mean time i had enough xp to start a merchant. I was given a home for joining a town, and asked for a spot to place a small vendor. i sold enough to buy more harvesters and factories. here is the end deal.

Last week I broke 2million on hand at once. i dont have much to buy. I pay maintanence and travel fees, and buy rescources. I now have 2 houses a merchant tent a fusion generator. 2 med harvs 4 factories 2 water 2 gas and a flora farm. these are paid for by what I make. I spend probably 20k a day but make about 250k. its not the best but i really enjoy it.

this is what I sell. MA weapon repair kits/armor repair kits. im also a chef and a ws, but i sell no food or weapons. i sell weapon upgrade kits. thats it. 3 products has managed to make me about 6 million over the course of the character. if you advertise, offer a good product, stock your vendor and the bazaar (I sell out bazaar everyday without fail) and get a good rep and make friends or cut deals you don't need an elite profession to be successful.

It's good to see success stories.

I just passed 3 million this week on MA alone. This is what I have on hand and have bought some really nice weapons and armor (both composit and ubese...the good stuff even) for my journey to Master Smuggler.

Like you I sell Ranged Power ups at 2500 per crate, Vehicles, and 99.6% Weapon Repair and Armor Repair kits.

While we may not be the richest people, we don't have to starve either

I have a blast doing what I do. My two rl uncles play on lowca as well. I now frequently ask them if they need money, as I generally have more than I need. They refuse, as they can make it on their own. I know if I need help they wil give it to me (altho he sold my 25k of dath carn meat on me 8( )

I just made my first powerup last night.

Anyone know a formula for mind cost/damage? does it depend on the rescources? or is it random each time? I tried a bunch of different rescources, and finally managed to get it, but the quality was very low. should i keep trying the same rescources until i get it right?

i still count lots of MA stuff as part of my income so i'm still a bit confused by those who are having trouble making money that way

Its pretty much random when it come to what stats are on the power ups, though some are better at certain things ( for example Muzzles for a good Max damage / Min damage combo).

What you need to do it get very high Overall Quality Mineral and Chemicals (over 950 for each for good, and even higher for the best stuff you can make). Then its just trial and error until you find a combo that you think will sell. I sell a lot of MaxDamage/MinDamage and AttackSpeed/MindCost(for the Riflemen). Just put out feelers to your customer and let them tell you what they want.

Also in my experience, Ranged Powerups sell much better than Melee Powerups....maybe that's just me.

I'm about to pass 6 mil. on lowca server with my MA. Most sales are thanks to bikes only, i sell them cheaper then some other MA's would want but i do all my mining, i don't pay anyone for their resources & just mine the good stuff with high SR . Its great, i just advertise on the bazaar only for now, with word of mouth & the ad, i been selling around 5-6 bikes a day. Keeps me busy with supplying my vendor. Now that the repair bug is fixed sales are back to norm, took a while for it to happen.

I only got 3 emails ever from noobs who thought i would sell them a bike for under 6k. I tell them to bring me the resources but they say they dont have any & can't buy it. So i respond with my prices & say i can't to any better then this & send my wp. Usually dont hear from them at all, 1 did do missions till he could afford one. I'm wandering if bikes are becoming like slicing, where everyone (new & old) see it as Necessary to have & not an option. Some newbies come to the game & think they need a bike now even though they can't afford it. I started emailing them about profession quests (like medic & artisan) that will give a rental bike that can be pulled out up to 5 times, hoping they might be able to do enough missions to afford a bike by then.

I get 50cpu on 33.2%/16.1% powerups. I sell maybe 15 crates a day. Just enough to keep me happy. There are few things out there as easy to make, that net you such aprofit. I fi started to hurt for sreds, I would price them at 4k a crate and it speeds up. I dont use the bazaar either. I just have a vendor ina well-known WS tent.

so how, in so way, you have made me feel as though atatining my MA title is not worthless. I was under the impression WS made the best power-ups, omfg am i ever a dumb **edit**.

Just a quick word, I use Master Artisan as my sole means for making money. Have 15 mill in the bank, and steadily growing, all the while running a full stable of houses, factory and harvesters. I make repair kits as my sole crafted item. Everyone wants them, and everyone needs them. I make 99.9999% kits (sold out of the 100% kits that I crafted for 1 day only), sell them for 2k each. It's about half the price that every else charges for them.. they are quick and painless to make and I sell them in singles, or all the way up to crates of 25. 2k each on my vendor, 3k each on the bazaar.
