You must use a water survey tool. You are not actually locating water per se, but water *vapor* and the only way you can do so is to use a water survey device.

You must have artisan skills to use any survey device though,but you can purchase the tool off another player or you can craft one yourself.

You get water by surveying/sampling using a water survey tool. You can get the survey tool from almost any artisan. Myself for example if you are on Lowca :-)

i think he was going to say a moisture vaporator.

Get one of those, find a good source of water and plant it (build it i mean) be sure to pay extramaintenence and add power. I hate not having power on me when I build something!
