Thread: What are gems, fuels and radioactive things used for?
Certain high level items have very specific crafting needs. For instance, I think that some guns require certain kinds of gemstones.
Don't know about fuel, though medics need class 4 liquid petro for advanced componants.
Radioactives can be used to power harvesters, and I think that class 1 radioactives are for advanced componants, too.
Those are all counted as "Inorganics, so anything that calls for any kind of inorganic can be made with any of the mateirals you mentioned.

- High level weapon-smithing requires very specific types of gemstones.
- Master Architects use amorphous gemstones to make Guild Halls (a component).
- Fusion Generators (the best power harvester) mine radioactive minerals and turn it into power.
