I just made master artisan only because i was grinding to become architect thinking that it was the only way to expand my mining business. now my question is since i have done only what i needed to in the engineering branch what is it exactly that makes an artisan money? i was looking at the componets i am now able to make and dont even know what half them are used for. i'll find that out but is master artisan just a stepping stone or a title on which if depended on to make money you would go broke?

I'm a Master Artisan who sells the components, and I'll tell you that you'll never become rich selling them. Droid Engineers and Architects both use them, but many ofthese craftershave mastered MA for the experimentation points, so they just make their own.

That being said, I make a decent amount of money when I can find customers. Its definitely something you do for enjoyment, not necessarily to become rich.

You will find that crafting things like control units and Micro sensor suites will come in handy for making high quality crafting stations. The extra experimentation points with mastery will help with making excellent weapon powerups, droid batteries, and repair kits. This might seem like small change compared to what you will acquire as a full-fledged architect, but for only a handful of resources you can help support the heavy grind ahead.

Unfortunately, you do not get any extra experimentation points or artisan points for taking master. Common misconception.

Smorhpheus is right. If you go 4400 in Artisan, you get all of your experimentaiton points for the Artisan tree.

As for making money as a Master Artisan, well, the Master part won't earn you that much cash. I took Master just to make the electronics components I will use as a Droid Engineer.

You could make weapon powerups and sell them. If you're going this route its best to team up with a weaponsmith and sell out of the same shop, people shopping for weapons are likely to buy powerups to go with that shiny new blaster, especially if they're available in the same place. This, however, would require a factory to fully realize.

Just as in every business you have to determine a market that is in need of your services. I would check each planet to see if it is lacking any of the products you can produce. Start a local search then check planetwide, then galaxy wide. If you see one area already flooding with a product then you probably arent going to make much money there.

Thank you for that reply. I didn't think I received any more experimenting points with master.
