Thread: Fireworks Show Package suggestion

I like the fireworks package, as it is easier to make a large display, butI would like two things to make it even better:

1) Allow the timing of each firework to be greater. Right now they go off way too fast and the entire show lasts too short.. Its sometimes better to launch by hand so the show will last much longer. It would be great to change the seconds before the next firework shoots off... that way we have a variety like real fireworks, you start off slow and do a big finale.

2) Allow to be able to add an event by just dragging the firework into the package.

I was never able to get the Show Package to launch at all. Is there some requirement for where I must launch them from? I made one the day they went live and it had two launch buttons but neither of them did anything.

I didn't think mine were working either but then I triple/quadruple clicked on them and they ended up being fine. Launch button never seemed to work.

I think show packages are a waste, here is a better solution, that dosen't invollve doing that whole addevent thing.

Okay first make your ui the double version where u can use the f buttons and the shift F buttons.

then find a row of empty ui socket buy clicking the arrows next to the number on the left of the UI. You 6 so you should have some open somewhere. Next create you fire works. the drag them into the open sockets.

Now here is where i can eighter program a show or manually do the show.

to program the show hit ctrl A and creat a macro. using the /ui toolbar (enter #) command, and /wait (#) commands. this was as long as uwrotedown in what ui slot u placed what firework.

the good part about using ui is that u can launch 2 or more simaltaniously.

If u want to do manual launches u can just hit the coresponding F button and the fire work will launch if u hit 2 at a time 2 will launch. The is alot better than the foreworks show package.

Those are the reason fo foregt the show packages.

Fireworks shows are neat because you can set 'em off and run away. So you can get like five of them and set them off right after each other, and at a distance from each other.
