how do i get the initial metal and mineral to build surveying devices?

and also does the mineral detector find metal?

If u created your character with artisan skill, u should have a few surveying tools. If not, you should be able to purchase them on a bazaar for a few 100 credits. If you are on the Corbantis server, contact me ingame and ill give you what you need

You can also use the seach option to find other artisian to either a) buy the metal or b) sell/give you a survey device.
