Hi im going to become an art and I would love to know whats the best thing to make to get that GEN ITEM exp up, Thxs fro ur time

i made clothing crafting tools you get about 65 XP each one thats pretty good i think

Your xp is generally about 2x the recources that the item takes. Near as I can tell, complexity and data size have nothing to do with it. So it depends on what you need, want to sell, or how much money you have to blow.
I found that harvesters, once you can make them, are great...250 units of resources yielding 450 xp, more or less.
In the domestic arts line, I make soft undershirts or wookie hoods, both require 45 units of stuff and yield about 90 xp, if I am just blowing credits on practicing. Hide is pretty cheap to get compared to ores or minerals, in my experience.
So just keep an eye out of the highest-unit in whatever line you are in, and weigh the factors of sellability and resource expense with it, and there you are. =)

I made heavy axes. They take a lot of wood though.
