whats with this in the patch notes, "Altered the artisan-granted harvester and generator schematics to grant general crafting XP instead of specialized architect XP."

The experience gained from crafting harvesters is currently structure experience (the experience used to level in the architect tree) it is being changed to General crafting XP, usable to Artisans.
