Thread: Fair price for surveying services?
Currently, I pay artisans 10 to 15k, depending on how wealthy I am at the time, per location of resource that I'm looking to harvest.
Is this a fair price?
Am I paying too much?
I have noticed that bazaar sales are like a roller coaster. Pushing your wares in person does seem to get better results. A personal vendor at your shop probably has the lowest guarantee of someone buying something. The exceptionisyour loyal customers who always come back.
the percentage concentration you're looking for (min. 50%, 60%, 70%, 80% - i don't do surveys where requirements are above 80, if i can find that, it's just luck)
the type of material (i can track a plot of ore a quarter of the way across the map before it runs out, while i can find 6 plots of copper in that time)
and the amount of harvestor clearence you want for it (i have some people that want to put down 8-10 heavies while others are looking for only a couple).
Personally I would't go out of my way to find that specific resource for you for such a price. If I happened to be looking at the surveying tool for the specific type of resource I _might_ also check for the type you requested. But if I was for example looking around for Steel, Aluminium and Ore and you are looking for Berries, then: sorry. No time, no time *grins*
If youare looking for something I am looking for aswell, I'd be happy to send you a waypoint to it after I placed my machines on that spot (very annoying to find a 70+% Ore deposit and only to find no spot left after sending off a waypoint to someone and returning with your macines to that spot). For such a service, 10 to 15K would be a good donation.
But if you want me to find Specific Resource A, with stats X, Y, Z at minimal BBB at a minimal CC% spot, then 10 to 15K is just to little to spend my time. I could make 100's of K's in that same time advertising my resources in towns (sidenote: anyone else noticed that selling in busy places nets farbetter result then dumping it on your vendor or the bazaar?)
