Ok, I've noticed this over the past couple days...

When we make item in a factory, the resulting products no longer have us listed as the item creator.

While this has no functional impact, it can definately cause us to lose one form of our advertising. It used to be a freebie that our name gets plastered into the examine window, but now it seems that we must plaster it on the object name instead.

Are all of us crafters doomed to add the "by [name]" tag commonly used by tailors?

I hope this is just a bug, and not an intentional thing.

I think this problem was caused by a sloppy bug fix toremove experience granted by factory crates. I think it does have a functional impact. If your name isn't attached to the item when it is created, then you don't get experience when the item is used. The bug has been noted by our correspondent, but I don't know if the devs plan on changing it.

I for one really like people to know that I made the design for such a great item... ya know?

I don't mind them taking the exp away, but darnit, why do they want me to paste my name in the item name?

Wouldn't an easier fix be to set all factory producted components to exp value 0? Heck, you could even do that to the schematic itself, as I don't think making that gives you exp anyhow.
