Thread: Funny story. and why I'm glad I didn't pay 100K for my vehicle.
I travel over to Tatooine and find that Wild Meat is at a pretty good quality and I can get if off of Womp Rats. Sounds easy enough. So I pick up some missions and they quite easily, as expected. But they only bring in 1800-1900 credits per mission. So I get the better paying Greater Womp Rat (GWR) missions (more money and more wild meat). After two or three missions I stumble across a gathering of 5 GWR while riding my speeder bike between waypoints. The dollar signs go off in my eyes and I go in for the kill. Unfortunately, several gang up on me and eventually incap me. No big deal I think to myself, when all of a sudden, one crazy A$$ GWR runs over to my speeder bike and starts chomping on it. Before I can stand up it is disabled and unrepairable. It is a smoking, flaming, spark throwing paper weight. Lol.
Moral of the story, put your vehicle away when around GWR's. They will eat anything. Boy am I glad I didn't pay 100K+ for my vehicle.
Anyone else have a funny vehicle story? Post it here. We all need a laugh now and then. ![]()
For funny stories I've heard of people dashing through Krayt dragon lairs only to have the beats destroy their speeders in 1-2 hits.
It isn´t only womb rats, who hate vehicles...
my newly generated swoop got the honour to be punching ball of a mislead npc, who seemed to be a little bit confused about a DOTI gave him. It was real fun watching it from about one and a half foot away resting incaped in the gras. -
You shouldntgo hunting with your bike just next to you....
I had a similar incident with vicous huf dun's on Talus. I put a bleed on him, peaced out and got a safe distance and wait for him to get mad and come chasing after me.
Sure enough a few seconds later, he aggros me and comes charging up the slope, I calmy equip my Curved Sword.
30m Steady,
25m Prepare for my initial onslaught of hits
15m Hit Centre of Being I am in the zone ready to take down this huf dun bull
10m
5m NOW!!! Open with a blind and follow up with... hold on he has completely ignored me, what...
I turn around to see my shiny new speederbike getting smashed to pieces by an enraged bull. I start spamming my most damaging hits in an effort to pull the aggro on to me.
All to no avail.
It was so incredibly focused, such singlemindeness was quite astonishing all I could hear was a rumble of "Hate Shiny Hate Shiny" over and over again as it smashed mercilessly into my bike.

Good to know. Perhaps /taunt would have helped?
Yeah I was on lok cruising to the stronghold when i came upon a wounded gurk. He was down to about a qaurter of life so I thought i would finish him off in a couple of shots. Well he incapped me in about 2 hits, then went ape**edit** on my bike, if I wasnt a master artisan I probably would have been mad but it was one of the funniest looking things I have seen.
I swear the thing had a smile on its ugly mug as it beat my bike down, and to add insult to injury when he was done with my bike he didnt even db me, and I was 4k from the stronghold. Lucky for me I just pitched a tent after I killed him.
My first speeder bike was blown up when some fellow rebels and I were doing some missions. A Imperial Commando got the jump on us and made short work of us and our rides.
Now I'm slightly more careful about my bike...
ok, there was this guy from my old guild that i really hatein front of the theed starport one day. I forgot his name
. so anyway, hes like "duel me wimp!!", then challenges me. Well I notice he has a landspeeder out so i decide to say "no". He kept running after me, then he finally stopped. i was near the theed med center when i turn around and accept his duel. He is incapped by me in about 10 seconds. Now for the funny/bad part. I dont death blow him (yet), but i let him watch in horror me ravaging his landspeeder to shreds in 3 shots. Then I deathblowed him
.
Moral is: NEVER NEVER NEVER leave your vechicle out if your doing anything else exept riding it.
Another day in the life of a rebel, Massacareblade, Lowca server
For some reason I look like a creampuff (maybe it's my Master Artisan tags), but I get people wanting to have an easy duel vs me all the time... and now it's even worse that the game puts me auto-overt once in a while.
I suprise quite a few people, but I haven't yet gotten to kill a bike from a duel.
I did participate in a raid on a rebel town. Took out my T21 and 1-shotted a bunch of rebel swoops
