doeslow grade ore have different concentrations than say...minerals? i have found a 67% and that is after going across half of tatooine. the rate of change (concentration over distance) also seems to be lower than other minerals.

so what is a good consentration. i dont want to keep looking if the 67% is pretty good find for low grade ore.

i found a 66% and just plonked 10 mediums down right there, i havent seen much higher than that

It's totally, wholly, and completely random. Random by planet and random by server.

On Radiant, I've got three 10 BER mediums down on a 77% spot on Lok right now pulling up carbonate ore. I couldn't find much higher than 60-ish % on Tat so I decided to move up and out a bit.

If you really want materials, you have to be aggressive in finding them. Pay attention to the shifts, survey frequently to find out what's available on the planet you're standing on, and drop harvs like a madman (or woman) on the good spots before anyone else finds them.

The items listed are what's available on the planet. If you get a Resource Not Found, there are no concentrations of the resource in the range of the survey.

One thing I'm unsure about; When I do a survey, are the items listed what is available (in theory)on my planet, or just in my local area?

I often get a "Resource not found" when I'm just checking the list.
