What are the advantages? Aside from some new schematics for items that you may or may not need (depending on which elite crafting profession you follow), personal egoand having the option of 'Master Artisan' over your head, what does it give? There certainly aren't any skill modifiers.

Just wondering.

Cheers.

You answered your own question.

I'll answer it too... 'cause you want it.

It would have gotten increasingly difficult for me to be a Droid Engineer without it.

I originally intended to make an uber crafter. Master Artisan Master Architect and at least two branches (or as much as I could) of Weaponsmith, Armorsmith and Tailor. I heard you needed some Master Artisan stuff to make PA halls so I felt it would be wise to get it. One the way to grinding towards Architect I pondered being DE, so in lieu of continueing I got DE, without knowing what a broken profession it was. Long story short I decided I didn't want to forfiet the Pistol xp I had accrued and ended up being a Weaponsmith and soon-to-be Pistoleer. I'll keep the Master Artisan for the prestige.
