Ok, ive read what I can about factories etc but im still in the dark about a few things..

Schematics: Now, I have saved schematics in the past (medicine is all I craft really) and have seen the option to create a factory schematic and have done so. But when I read people talk about schematics for their factories it sounds as if you have to make one that includes kind of a recipe for what is going to be included in the production, as in # of components etc. Is this just them planning what to put in before starting the machine or a different type of schematic?

BUGS: I have also heard alot of different problems where people put in resources, tell it to start and resources are ate up and not able to be used and dont return..now I know this game is more bugged than anything in my wildest nightmares but any tips to avoiding the known issues would be nice.

Crates: From what I gather about this the output is simply stored in crates when they come out of the hopper in varying quantities. Do you get to chose the quantity? Is there any danger in leaving them in the hoppers?

Resource amounts: Lets say im making Stim D's and it requires Herbivore meat and Class 4 Petro Fuel for one of the components and I have like 5k of one amound and 500 units of the other. Would it be best to put in ONLY what im going to plan on being used in the final product or can I just dump both in and expect it to produce only what it can and leave the rest there for when I get the units of the lower amount?

Any answers to this would save me alot of headaches...

I got a question too how much does it take to make a factory, how much does it cost in energy, maintenance to keep it running a few days?
