Some citys have very large no build zones. Dunno why.

A trick I have learned to find out if I am outside the 1000m mark is to type /find and select city. This will create a waypoint at the nearest city. Then change the range or your radar to 1024. If you can't see the waypoint mark for the city then you should be outside the no build zone for the city. I don't know if cities have varying ranges on this though, but it's worked for me so far.

There is a 2000-2500m no build zone around cities on Talus like Daeric.

Dont forget terrain! I dont think harvestors shape the terrain like houses do.

On terrain that won't it will still bring up the screen to place the harvester but will just show red for every location that the terrain won't allow. I have gotten a message saying that I can't build in my state. I think this has to do with terrain also.

I have just spent another half an hour tracking some minials to mine. i tryed to bild the mine and it says you cant bild there, i move it says you cant bild there. WHY why cant i bild there it never givs a reasion what are the rules to where i can and cant bild. i see other mines around but it wont let me put one within 100k of them. what is up with this if i cant bild tell me why, give me some indecation to where i CAN bild. im sick of tracking down minerals if i cant do anything with them.

The most common reason is because you are too close to a city. Most cities have no build zones about 1000m. Large buildings will often take of large amounts of space and you won't be able to build on that land either. Often if there is a high conentration of buildings you won't be able to place a harvesters. Lairs can also interfere in building sometime.

i have been told im in a no bild zone close to cities. where im at now is bout 1 km from a city no other structurs or laiers around but still i cant bild. it says you are not permited to bild here.

The cant build in your state happens after you run someplace and the server stil thinks you are running. Just wait a second or two and try again.

Yeah, I get that a lot when I stop running and try to place a harvester. Just wait a few seconds and try again.
