Thread: Factory Woe/Suggestions
Ok, I have the exact minerals in required, all components have the same serial number, there is power and maintainance moneyin the factory... SO WHY DOES IT KEEP STOPPING BEFORE IT MAKES A SINGLE ITEM!! GRR! Whyis using a factory akin to pulling teeth? I started with mine last night and so far it's the most akward, unreliable thing I have done in the game.
To make this 'constructive' heres some things Id like -
1. Make the email telling us the factory has stopped give us info on WHY it has stopped.
2. Ifwe are only going to get 10% of the XP we do by handicrafting the items then at least makethe items fasterthan we can by hand! If you want to keep it this slow then give us the full XP value. Whenwe are putting in huge amountsof capital to buy and run a factory weshould not be penalised!
3. The 'Required Ingredients' window should tell us the total of each resource needed, the amount needed for an individual item is fairly irrelevant.
4.Allow us tostack like-crates. I have a few with the same serial number...a crate with 6 items and one with 5...I know the cap is 25, but why can't I combine these two?
5. Give us some indication the Factory is actually working, an email telling us manufacturinghas started or even add some animation to the Factory like with harvesters.
6. Add the material type name to theresource window, e.g. call it 'Doonium Iron' rather than just 'Iron'. Also put crate serial numbers in brackets after the item name (in the tool-tip if necessary), e.g. Blaster Power-Handler (he8dhwu2).
7. Make adding ingredients to the Factory like adding ingredients to a Crafting Tool. Have slots to fill and a mini-window with your resources on the left.
8. Fix the 'you have to be sat next to your factory to get XP' bug, and soon!
There are probably more things but they escape me now.
