Thread: A ? From a first time artisan..
Grettings all you fellow artisans, my name is Dumaandred Bashere, of the Bloodfin galaxy/Mos Eisley area. I am currently working my way through artisan (not grinding..actually making stuff for friends, playing around, trying to learn the system alone has gotten me like 4 crafting boxes)...But, after playing around with some bone armor crafting (i only have engII right now) I had an off the wall question...
Why can't we color armor? That may sound stupid, but really...why can't we? If you'd think about it, all youd need is some dye/paint or some such thing and tadahh, you have colored armor...is this an option that opens up later as you get more skillss? And if not perhaps we could have a show of hands for interest for this feature and ask the devs for it? Because I for one would like a cool set of black and red armor or something...just a thought.
And oh yes, even though I'm new and just starting out, can someone explain to me why my bone armor boots and gloves seem to be better than any others on the bazaar, but no one buys them? I jsut severely cut the price down on them, but nobody has grabbed any..kinda wanted some of that usage exp ![]()
That's a rather glib and unconsctructive answer. If I was that poster I'd be very annoyed.
Anyway, I have no idea why armor cannot be colored. Clothing can, but not armor. It may be something they'll add later, or it may be by design. Yes, I agree that you should be able to, but....*shrug*
As for why the boots or gloves don't get bought....who knows? Could be that in your area, lots of people already have them, so they don't need to buy any. Did you check to see how many other people are also selling them? You might have a lot of competition.
I've found that my best sellers are weapon powerups, fiberplast panels, bone armor segments, resources, and sometimes the odd harvester, weapon, or crafting tool. The crafting tools I sell pretty cheap because crafters usually make their own, and all I want to get is the Uxp anyway.
I would experiment and see what sells well in your area, and go with that. Fiberplast Panels and Bone Armor Segments sell well because they're used for crafting clothing and armor a lot, so they're a high-demand consumable.
