Thread: How to earn apprenticeship points
Ok if you are really hard up for apprenticeship points here is a method that is guaranteed to get them. (Or your money back…) ![]()
To start with you need to be at least a 4/4/-/- Artisan. But, since you are hard up for apprentice points, I think it is safe to assume that you are already a 4/4/4/4 Artisan.
1) Build some high quality CDEF pistols, carbines, and rifles. (2 or 3 of each to start) and put good powerups on all of them. They should have damage efficiency of around 90% each.
2) Use these weapons to become a 2/2/2/2 Marksman. With the weapons you just made it won’t take very long. (If you are already a 2/2/2/2 Marksman, skip to step 3)
3) Go to a start up city and approach all the newb’s you can find. (They are easy to spot)
You will find that almost all of them are novice Marksmen. Offer them the following deal. You will give them a quality weapon to earn xp if they will agree to come to you for their training. It won’t take them long to require training either.
Usually they will have already earned pistols 1 or 2. What I do is offer them the carbine first and promise them the rifle after they learn carbine 1. After I give them the rifle, I Promise them a better pistol than the one they have after they learn Rifles 1.
You have to be polite and patient. (you are dealing with newbs after all) but I actually had a line up of players waiting for me to train them this way. It is a lot of effort, but it WILL get you all the apprentice points you want, and it has the bonus of creating a nice introduction to the game for the newbs, which is important to the future of SWG.
Hello,
You earn these (Apprenticeship points) by teaching another player skills you have already learned. You do this inviting the person to join you in a group. You then click on the person. When the Radial Menu appears, select the Teach option. Then a list of skills (or languages) you can teach will appear in the window. Select the one skill or language you want to teach (by clicking it), and press the OK button. In a bit the other person will either Accept or Decline the offer. How many points
you get I would assume depends on the skill. You would get more points for skills at Level IV than you would for Level I. I assume, they can be set value though. I've seen the most of 20 points. I currently have 300 points of Apprenticship.
I hope that helps.
After you Master a profession, it becomes a lot easier, I've noticed. Just keep your Master tag up and people will randomly ask you for training. Combine that with training people when they just ask in general (I spend a lot of time in front of the starport in Coronet, which seems to be a hotspot for people trying to learn), and you'll get App. EXP fairly quickly.
