I think there should be a miner profession branching off from Surveying. I have an idea of what I would like it to do of course and here it is:
-----
Master Miner
Rare Materials I II III IV
Higher Yeild I II III IV
Increased Production I II III IV
Mining Cooperative I II III IV
Novice Miner
-----
Novice Miner:
+2 lots
Survey reveals 5% increase in concentration.
5% chance for a resource unique to you.
+5 bazaar lots
Mining Cooperative:
+5 bazaar lots per level
Increased Production:
+2 lots per level
Higher Yeild:
+5% per level increase in survey concentration
Rare Materials:
+5% per level chance for unique resource
Master Miner:
Planetwide survey ability.
-----
So a Master Miner would look like this:
+10 lots
+25% survey concentration
+25% chance for unique resource
+25 Bazaar lots
-----
Well I hope this is agreeable with a majority of people.

I believe Q3PO said that the mining profession was cut because players now are miners without the incentives. Adding the skills and such that come with a profession would not add to the game, he said, and so they didn't go with it.

Honestly, they would be really rich people. Can you imagine having extra lots? That'sa dream come true.
I would love this profession, but it would be abused.

Ya, but we are talking about your own lots, not having to rely on other people to move the harvestors and such.
