Ok devteam, you asked for it!

I left for a four day vacation tuesday morning. Last I played was monday. I made sure that all my structures had their upkeep paid and energy loaded for 3-4 days. Friday evening, returning to the game, I notice the wind generator is gone! All the X kilos of money and god only knows how much wind energy! Iwould have needed it now.

Yeah, I know I'm whining and that maintenance is essential, but, can't the structure go into a permanent-fault-state and keep the resources in it for a little while? Like, a week between breaking up and self-destructing. This would be nice for those who have holidays sometime. At least, the 1-2 days of my experience is a bit short notice. Although yes, now I know better and keep 10k in maintenance just in case.

OR, tell somewhere, that SWG requires you to "clean up" and stop yer factories before leaving the game for several days. This, simply finding out things are gone, is not contributing to my gaming experience. Rather, it makes me do frantic missions for money to get going with interesting stuff (crafting, economy!) again.

It may be a bit early to panic. Even if the generator was at 0 maintenance when you left, it should take at least acouple of days to get to 0 condition. Did you receive any emails about its worsening condition? It may just have problems loading. Try going to the waypoint (and did that remain?), log out, wait a few minutes, then log back in. Logging into a zone seems to force a load of everything there, your generator may pop up.

I got one email, on friday, saying that condition only 20-30%? left. Waypoint went away, and the structure never reappeared with logging out and in again. I'm starting to think I forgot to maintain that, and only paid for the others. Even then, there should have been some maintenance in when I left for the four days.

Well well. Now that I've got things up again and learned to craft baserate 7 wind things myself, it doesn't feel that bad at all. I suppose even the artist thing is supposed to be somewhat risky business. Like, whenI got a replacement generator, it ran for about 200 energy before the wind source was depleted . That's okay. Although I would have liked to get an e-mailtelling "Now it is destroyed!" too.

After all I think things are very well balanced. Even grinding isn't dull ;-). Still, finding a crumbled-down wind generator with all energy liquid clearly spilled to the ground would have been MUCH better than just having it gone "missing".
