Thread: Do entertainer buffs stack with tapes or cancel them out?
Then why does the pop up to the buff read:
Increase Artisan Exp by 12%
Increase Resource Quality for crafting by 1%
Increase Assembly success for crafting 5%
Increase Experiment success for crafting 5%
You do realize that there is two different mods at work correct?
the actual skills themselves {like experimentation} and then the rolls {that give what the expermentation can do}
you own expermentation is not what effects the 'rolls' only how far you can experiment into the availble lines.
from my understanding the bufss are to affect the rolls themselves.
So I would say you were having a off day long before thinking that the buffs interferred with you own skill mods.
I always enjoy it when people cop an attitude over silly recreational games like this one....if you need to do that to feel like somebody then by all means be my guest...I'm just trying to get a question answered. Which by the way still isn't answered.
It has been my experience (for 2 years now in several different crafting professions) that the higher your experimentation skill mod, which you get with tapes and advancing through the profession will do 2 things: 1) it will give you more points to experiement with and it will affect whether you get a great success or an amazing success. When I was a 10 pointer I got far fewer amazing successes than now when I am a 14 pointer. The bespin portand the entertainer buffs, along with force experimeation will affect thechance of an amazing success but won't give you any more points with which to experiment. I was wondering if entertainer buffs now pose some sort of trade-off like your skill mods will still give you the extra experimentation points but won't help you have more amazing successes in exchange for getting the 1% resource buff and now only 5% to the chance of an amazing success. And I don't know why I would be pointed to stickies when the publish just came out today.
Anyway, still wondering how all this stuff works together.

You got me on that. Either it is mislabelled, or they changed how the buffs were supposed to work. That is why I said that the resource buff SHOULD not affect your experimentation. If they changed this, it is new to me. I wasnt able to get ingame today, but I will check it out tomorrow
Sooo....basically you get all the buffs at once, instead of one at a time. My mistake on that one. However I have seen no conclusive word on whether these stack with FS skills, Bespin, Pyollian, Research Center, etc.
So we are back where we started.

Looks like I missed an update. I just looked for an answer to this, and apparently all of those buffs go active at once.

Yeah I was surprised when I had all the bonus's as well as I thought if was just one.
I am guessing they realised no'one would bother with the other buffs as resource quality is the only one that gives you something you couldn't get before. So decided to roll them all out at once.
it was my understanding it would be all those stats at once from the beginning. Elite professions get double what artisan gets.
As for whether it helps or not.. where as this is a trivial dfference, with an artisan buff and bespin port I was able to make 99.99 repair tools as opposed to my usual 99.7's with the same resources. Now like I said, it's not a huge difference.. but that 0.2% means a lot to some people
The attempt I did without bespin port resulted in 99.94 or 99.95 I don't remember exactly..could just be coincidence but who knows. But it helps, even if just a little ![]()

I did a test with crafting kits and PUPs buffed and unbuffed and I get the exact same results.
