I'm at work has anyone tried making these?
Are they still called BARC repair kits?
Do they still need asteroid resources?
5:00 is sooooooooooo far away.

They are now called "Vehicle Restoration Kits" and they require the same resources, 750 Carb. Asteroid and 750 Petrochem. Asteroid.

i tried going to the big tree to star the quest for asteroid harvesting, but couldn't get it. do you have to be an artisan to do this quest? thanks

no but u need good skills in pilot and you talk with Flash on the second floor in the tree i believe.

Yeah but have to put it this way, It's a way for any character to make money as long as they are good in pilot. Plus we can only craft BARC using these resources. Only other profession is a Master Shipwright I Believethat can craft with these resources. I like the Fact the Space Resources are finally going to play a role in this game. It was the thing I was most curious at when RotW was announced.I pay 50cpu for my space resources and sell each tool atm for 175k-200k and they sell great. Due to the availablity of Pilots on my sever atm I am forced to keep this price till I gather enough stock to get them on the vendors. But, Thier is always that PvP'r, Jedi's Vehicle, BH Vehicle, and plain just players who leave them out forgetting and it gets Disabled. I would like to eventually sell each at 125k each once i get a big stack and the funds to fund the resources. This is a Goos fix for Master Artisan and as well as Pilots that have no reason to MIne for anything.

edit: here, this should give you more information. I searched game guides for "space mining quest"... message search works

You don't need to do a quest to mine asteroids:
1. Get a mining laser and cargo holdand installthem in your ship.
2. Shoot asteroids to get big chunks off.
3. Shoot the big chunks to make little chunks.
4. Shoot the little chunks to get the actual resources.
5. Swear when you realize that you have to land to unload your cargo hold (from the datapad no less).

I brought this up in the feedback discussion, I know on my server (Kauri) the resources are extremely rare and in extremely small quantities.
Asteroid mining in itself is a time consuming and expensive (for us crafters) proposition
The rarity of the materials means high prices for us artisans for those materials
We DON'T USE asteroid materials when building the speeders and such in the first place, so why should they be required to restore the vehicle condition?
Hopefully this will be addressed, otherwise expect high prices for the materials, high prices for the kits, and lots of exploding vehicles

Can you use the crate of free resources for the materials to craft repair kits ?
