Hi all, new Artisan here. I've checked the FAQ's and can't believe the questions I'm going to ask aren't there but I couldn't find them.

1. When I am offline do the harvesters carry on working?

2. If they do carry on when I"m offline, what should I do to stop decay etc while I am on holiday?

3. Seeing as I started this now, any hints as to what I should grind as a Novice Shipwright? ( I know I should put this in Shipwright, but thought I'd ask as I'm here)

Other than that the guides have been great, but I'm always happy to hear from those better than me (read that as everyone!)

1) Yes.

2) Put plenty of money into them to keep them working and at 100%. Also, make sure they have plenty of power so they can keep running while you're gone. They'll stop running once the resource you're harvesting shifts though (max 2-3 weeks or so), so you really only need 2-3 weeks worth of power in them max.

3) Not sure. There's probably a good sticky on the shipwright forum though...

Thanks Dimear,

SO presumably then, if I turn them off they are off and wont decay or lose power?

They will still take your money, even if they're turned off. They just won't use power. If you want them to stop taking your money (decaying), then you need to pick them up - not just turn them off.

Dimear,

Thanks again... One more question, sorry...

How do I pick the thing up once it's deployed? I can't see an option for doing that.

Hmm - I'm not on the game right now, so I don't remember the wording 100%. It's something like 'destroy structure' though. It's one of the options in the radial menu.

When you select it, it will bring up a window telling you how much maintenance you have remaining in the structure, and will tell you whether or not the structure will be re-deeded to you. If the structure is at 100%, you'll see a green note saying that the structure will be re-deeded to you. If not, you'll see a red note saying that it will be destroyed. You will also have to type in a code it gives you for confirmation. As long as the structure is 100%, then you'll get it back - it'll show up in your inventory as a deed.

Make sure you don't destroy this deed in your inventory though. Just destroy the structure when it's placed to get it back in deed form.
