I'm a combat type who's thinking of becoming a 'Businessman' to supplement my income. I'd basically like to harvest resources and sell them in a shop I put up. The mayor of the player city I'm in is constantly giving out waypoints of high-level resources, so I thought I'd get in on the act.
What kind of profits should I expect? Do you personally think its worth it?

Given the recent discussions on this forum, this post has the stench of the troll about it.
BUT... if you're looking for profit, you'll find it doing this.

I wasn't meaning to be troll-ish..I just need some cash. Sorry if I came off that way; I can be kind of blunt sometimes.
But, who knows? Maybe this little thread willhelp allthose crooks tore-think their lives.

My question would be, can we expect the continued demad for raw grindable resources once the holo-grind comes to an end with Publish 10? Will the resource market's bottom fall out?
I've been fairly reluctant to enter this market for fear that I will harvest hundreds of thousands of resources, just to see them rot on a vendor.
Thoughts on this anyone?

On my galaxy, Naritus, the holo-grind has already begun to wind down. I expect that the need for grind-quality materials will all but dry up with Publish 10, in 6-8 weeks by my estimate.
So if you don't understand what are good resources and how best to harvest them, and have no desire to learn that, the resource game might not be very profitable for you in the near-term. Without the right knowledge and skill set, it certainly won't be profitable for you in the long-term.
