Thread: Can we *please* keep the Certification debate to one thread?

Hi all, I know many people have very valid opinions either for or against the whole harvester certification ideas being put forward, but it is really starting to clog up the Aritisan boards with thread after thread basically about the same thing.


Can we just keep it to one thread? Or at least have the thread subject very clear? I don't mind reading (and responding) to the issue, but am getting tired of reading about it in half the threads I normally check.

How can the debate, which is now in a large number of threads, now be consolidated into one thread?


I ask this as someone who hasn't started a single thread on the issue.

Well, it is done around here all the time, by everyone going to one place set up by the correspondent. Thing is, it has gotten even worse since I posted this, there are twice as many threads about it....which is ridiculous.

If you are seeing so many people posting about it..then it must be a HOT topic. No, we can't keep it to one thread. I don't feel it's right to bury this in "artisan" issues where EVERYONE who will be affected misses it.


BTW.... boooooooooo, hissssss to anyone who wants harvester certification. Greed will not prevail !!!

Hey I totally agree, but isn't it possible to make one thread with 5000 messages in it? It is out of control the way it is now. I guess there is nothing we can do though - I do hope the stupid idea goes away, that was part of my point.

the problem is by having multple threads all ideas and discussions are not in1 central location..



while someone is reading 1 thread about it they are actually missing your opinion on it..


If the devs decide to come to the boards to get an idea on the situation and they don't want to take the time to go through the 100 posts but pick the top few posts to go through then you are definately missing out on your say of it..



getting your say isn't about having a topic in the board.. but having your part of hte discussion in the thread about the topic..

at this point that would require a csr to come along and consolidate for us


or an extremely ambitious forum denizen to transcribe from all the threads into one mega thread
