The bazaar confuses me a bit in one respect. I don't understand what determines the order in which items are listed when browsing the bazaar.

It isn't random. It isn't most recently listed items first. It isn't highest quality items first. It isn't aphabetical order. So...what is it? What is the secret to getting folks to see your item before they see your competitor's on the bazaar?

It isn't even premium sales. And I for one woud think that paying 5 times as much with something that actually requires skill points would get you listed closer to the top rather than just having an ugly asterisk next to your sale. But no dice.

Please...any insight appreciated.

if i where to venture a guess it would just be the order in which they come out of thier database..

unless they have some sortof sort on their db Query the database could return them in any order..

even if you sort by price it is for only that window of the query.. it does not requery the database and sort by price instead it just sorts all the items on your window by price..

ofcourse this is just an educated guess but from what i've seen it would be the case..

As I'm reading it, you are saying that the order in which items appear on the bazaar is just the order in which they come out of the SOE database. I think you may be trying to say more but that I'm just not understanding it.

What I'm trying to do is to get my items at least on the first page of the bazaar. And that's not happening.

bottom line is there is no way to effectively get it at the front of the bazaar consistently..

databases can be funny the order in which they return stuff and it really is just where the row of data happens to fall in relationship to the other rows..

usually its the order in which the item is inserted into the database but isn't always the case and can differ from database to database (i personally work with Oracle)..

in basics you query the database and it returns your results row by row (think of a database row like a spreadsheet)..

the databases do have built in fuctions for the order with which the rows are returned which helps to give your results structure (like order bydescending price etc..) but the bazaar doesn't seem to use that...

that might be a feature you could request is something like ..

premium bazaar sales are listed first then non premium..
