I tried earching for an answer here but did not have luck. Sorry if it has been asked before...
I am trying craft a Food and Chemical crafting tool as a Master Artisan.
I can see the schematic in my data pad.
I am using a generic crafting tool.
I can not find the Food and Chemical crafting tool to craft when I use the generic tool.
I have tried standing in front of a private generic, and food, crafting station.
What am i doing wrong?
Thanks for the help,

try using a weapon/item/ craft tool.
i made a food one the other day, it doesnt require a craft station but you cant experiment without one so...

Granted, you will get the 'best' results using a weapon/droid/general crafting tool in front of a crafting station (either public or private), simply because you can experiment the effectiveness instead of staying with the initial stats from assembly.
That being said, you should still be able to craft a Food/Chem tool with a generic crafting tool.
You do need to have either Engineering I or Novice Medic (which you must already have since you say that you have the tool in your draft schematics). Go to the "misc" tab at the top of the tool (depending on how many schematic categories you have you may have to scroll over), then scroll down to "Crafting Tools". If you're missing that tab, that item category, or just the food/chem tool itself, /bug it. The devs have made some changes to the generic tool (moving it to a "generic" category to fix a bug with the WDG tool, for example), and if it's lost functionality it should be brought up.
I tried logging in to verify this, but my Live character doesn't have a generic tool (F/C tool does show up when crafting with a WDG), and TC just shut down so I can't check there.

To just elaborate on what he said. Use a weapons/general tool to make those but do it standing at a private crafting station or at least at a public one in a city. Then use your 10 to experiment it better.

i opened my generic tool and saw the food craft tool available to be made, didnt make one but it was listed, so it is in there under one of the tabs, i just forget which one.
