Thread: AV-21, Where, How, Why?

Heyas All

So Ive been hearing talk about this AV-21 all over the place and figure its supposed to be some super vehicle that is the fastest and most manuevrable of the entire Game.

Sounds good.

However You need to have the proper Schematic and the proper Power plant plus Resources:

No Problem here.

This has been explained loads of times in the Forum, what nobody wants to talk about is WHERE!!!

I ve heard that the schematics and powerplant are loot from something called the Corellian Mission. What exactly is this and how can I run it myself

Im a newbie, granted. I dont even own a factory or am guilded.

But my character is a Master Artisan getting ready to become a Novice Pistoleer. What I wanted to be was a smugler and I find that Smuglers dont do any smugling, go figure!

Therefore I plan on getting these rare objects crafted myself and then sell them.

But I cant do that if nobody explains how to get them.

I would appreciate if anyone reading this can reply with details of any super objects they know about and details of how to get them.

By the way, I hereby appologise to all artisans for under selling a lot of my items in the bazar. I sell quite a few items really cheap so that other newbies can proffit from it. (mostly stimpacks and other minor items that I overproduce or have no use for.)

So, give poor old BloodWarrior a hand and start pointing him towards the good stuff.

The schematic and power plant are loot items from the Corvette mission, and it is not something a newb can do on there on There is a guide in the game guides section of the development forums, but I don't have a link to it.

Even the people who go onto the vette often have trouble getting powerplants. Its easy enough to get the schematic but the powerplants are rare.

The schematics are worth 100k each the powerplants (on bloodfin at least) are 700k - 1.5 million. That should tell you a lot.

The AV-21 is nearly as fast as the swoop but doesnt have the terrain negotiation slow down the swoop has. Plus its rare and looks good.

Heyas!

Thanks all for the help

Here is the clicky for the corvette guide

CORVETTE MISSION GUIDE

I was considering keeping it for myself, but not only that would have been silly (you can always find if for yourself) but selfish.

Oh well, let the competition come and take all the credits, Ill have to settle with what I can manage.

Better to be forgotten than to be revilled?

By the way, if you feel like trying the run with a Master Artisan, Marksman 0403, Scout Something and Medic Something, email me ingame

just a slight hijack here, i noticed the problem with making links now that the boards have changed, can someone post/pm me the commands for making links now?
its really annoying that i only learned how to make links a few weeks ago and now its changed.

stupid html. i can only learn 1 thing per year with html, and now this will be the thing for 2005, im going to be sooooooooo behind, i dont know what im going to do.

Bug fixes. Heh! Smuggling. Heh! A Jedi craves not these things.

My SWG Observations

If they stopped the expansions for one year and gave quality revamps to the professions that need it most, many people would resubscribe.
With all the resubs, and the new players, there would then be plenty of money to hire enough people to do 2-4 quality revamps per year plus 1-2 larger expansions per year and/or 2-4 smaller expansions per year, and not give the BigWigs a pay cut. (Possibly even an increase)

ok, so i found the problem, i REFUSE to use internet explorer. and sometimes i use linux, and ms does not make ie for linux/unix/etc.
even if they did i still wouldnt use it.
ie is bug-ridden, and insecure. i use mozilla, its so much better, tabbed browsing, popup blocker, content blocking, and more.

i dont have the option of edit as html, only preview and spellcheck, also dont have the hotspots at the top to center, bold, etc, whatever is there.

the a href.... link text you put in is what i have always used, just doesnt work in the message box anymore.

i guess ill just have to make people cut and paste.

This is the way I've always done links and it worked as of five minutes ago. I've been shown other ways to do them, but this one seems to be the most popular and the most consistent.

<A HREF=http://your.web.address.here>Your Link Name Here</A>

The "trick" is that you have to click on the Edit As HTML button that appears to the lower right of your message window and then enter the above coding. Once that's done you cannot preview your post, check your spelling or return to the graphical editor. The only thing you can do is submit your post. Doing anything else will mess up your coding and your link will not work. Similarly, if you edit a post that contains a link you must redo the link before submitting the post or the editing of the post will have messed up your coding as well.

Good luck!

Have you check-marked the "Use WYSIWYG Message Editor" option under your personal profile (My Personal Profile : Personal Preferences)?

Yes, the help for it does say, "If checked, users using IE 5.5+ will use the WYSIWYG post editor with graphical controls."

But I was just wondering if you had tried it before. If not, I'd try it, just in case it does work with other browsers.

yeah, ive tried it both ways, it doesnt make a difference.

internet explorer is the 'default' browser, and i think most people use it because it comes with windows and they dont know there is anything else.

mozilla is gaining some market share and its a great browser, but mozilla and ie dont always render pages the same and people usually code for ie, so the rest of us get shafted.

i know ie was updated recently and is supposed to have popup blocking, tabbed browsing, some better security, and some other stuff, i dont know if it is any better yet, but, ive had all those things for over a year with mozilla, why would i want to change now?

and its free and open source, which for those that dont know means anyone can write and submit code to the devs with a new feature or bug fix, or release your own version with your code already included, as long as you include all the source code.
there may be a bit more to their license, i havent read it, but thats the basics of open source software.

As a Novice Pistoleer, the destroy mission can be soloed. But it has gotten a lot nastier of late. You want good energy Composite, a PSG is a good idea, doctor and entertainer buffs, plus dodge and damage-reduction foods. Expect to die at least once, so try not to arrive with a full stomach because you will need to re-buff with food and spice. Try to only aggro one level; then you should be able to walk around the rest of the ship without aggro-ing more enemies.

Hum... I am having trouble just locating the info for the Neutral Rescue mission.

Im a Master Artisan, Marksman 0403 (need 30k more pistol xp for novice pistoleer), Scout and medic (just enough to get around on these last two).

However Solo I cant hardly reach Lord somethings hideout or the Genetics lab or that other abandoned cave. I get the crap beat out of me. Mind you I am unbuffed, but still.

I tried to lure them out where I can take each one of them on a one to one basis, but Havent been lucky. Once everybody starts shooting I am toast. then they just come near me and death blow me.

Yeah, I know... get buffs, the strongest armor (which you can only put if you are buffed anyway), plus a droid to serve as a tank and you will be alright.

Mind you I did finish that cave in Corelia where there are some beast like men. SOLO, no buffs no tanks. Just plenty of sharp shooting.

Oh well, maybe the combat revamp will do something but I need to ask.

How much dmg can a good pistol be expected to deal? On average my Striker deals around 200, 400 on a bodyshot 2.
