I am thinking of starting a small "mom nd pop" business in resources or flora or energy or water. Anyone have any suggestions about how best to do this, and what materials are in demand right now. I thought I could specialize in just one type of resource. And, I doubt I will be mastering anything soon, I just want to get a small business going to have fun and make a few credits on the side.

Any suggestions or helpful hints are appriciated.

thanks

It means a small family owned business. Think of a small store that sold anything when you were a kid that wasnt walmart or a chain.

To stay to your roleplaying mom and pop store put a vendor with artisan foods, and artisan items. I have actually sold several fishing poles at 750cr. Sure its pocket change. But not everything in game is about money.

Next talk to some architects and tell them your idea. You'll be suprised how many jump on the idea of decorating one. Just remember your looking for someone in their 30's or better who would remember what a mom and pop general store is.
