i am sure this question has ben asked many times but i am stillnot too clear on how you place harvestors.. i found a flat piece of land outside of town and a good source of ore but it says building not permited here.. is there another factor on placing a harvestor?? i have seen some harvestors on small hills so i am not too clear what is the real requirement on placing harvestors/

Each town has a no-build zone around it. Some are next to nothing, like the outposts on Dantooine, while others are quite substantial, Kor Vella, Corellia comes to mind. Just keep heading out of town and trying to build every 50 meters or so once you're 500 meters out, or just start looking for structures nearby...
