Your out of luck my friend... the best macro in the world will not select the ingredients for you.. So my advice to you would be to get a laptop.. put it on your kitchen table.. eat with one hand and at the mean time click with the other..

This is no macro, but it worked alright for me.

Macro metal and petrochemical in too separate harvesting sessions so you have a thousand of each or so.

Set aside an hour and a half, put on some good music, and get ready to get bored.

3 crafting stations each on tool bar. Craft MUZZLES (if you're eng II or higher) in practice mode.

while one station is placing prototype hit fkey for next one. (3 is the right number fora continuous cycle)

you'll get very good at this process - its something like, return return return, double click double click, return return return. drink some coffee - this is as close as SWG gets to twitch - gaming.

...you can get any generic DirectX macroing program that moves your cursor for you to do your crafting.

You can thank Mr Bill Gates for that one.

I personally would rather use the 3 crafting kit method myself and socialize in town while crafting. AFK macroing is no way to build a client base.

The new popup while surveying was to stop afk samplers, not going to stop macroers. Nothing any company can do to stop DirectX macro programs from working. Lame.

Did you thank Mr Gates again?

Sure they can. Since 3rd-party macros are against the EULA, all they need to do is sniff your processes to see if you're running one. If so, you get banned from the game. QED.

Sniffing your processes? You're kidding right. That would be a violation of OUR rights, not theirs. I seriously doubt that SOE will snoop the proc list for DirectX macro tools... You could just write an app that inits with an obfuscated proc ID and name each time. No, the goal is to make it _tougher_ to script activities, not stop them.

You'll need to start the crafting tool yourself, I suggest putting it into the toolbar and having at least 2 tools. On the first item you need to select the schematic, it will auto select after that. Load up your materials then hit the macro. This will finish the item all the way to the end in practice mode. Makes it a little less painful.

Actually, they'd be well within their rights to monitor how you're playing their game on their computers. When you started playing you (knowingly or not) agreed to the EULA. Now if you didn't read all the fine print....

EULA or not, The privacy advocates hit the ROOF when SOE added to their EULA in EQ that they could sniff your process list. Additionally it's not effective, I could easily write a program to present a random process ID each time you ran it. If it was THAT easy, then all the ShowEQ users would be banned... but they aren't.

The solution isn't to stop macroing, it's going to happen, the solution is to make the game, crafting and all, ENTERTAINING enough to not make you WANT to macro. I made 60 macro levels in AC because the GAME was boring, but I wanted a powerful mage to hang with my buddies... end result was a script that was downloaded thousands of times by other players and ultimately passed billions of XP into the AC economy.

Note: I don't advocate breaking rules, however I don't have anything against macroing when the game has no rules against it.

Anyhow, the crafting process leaves MUCH to be desired IMO, I'd like to be able to set "Default" containers and one touch macro the items I make. I craft traps and tents, it's just a pain to drag bone and hide around... I'd be much happier (and use trapping TONS more) if I could tap a key while camping and end up with a trap in my inventory!
