Thread: Artisan 'End Game' Idea.

I've finally gotten enough faction that I have declared Imperial and have a Trooper to follow me around.

Every time I talk to the recruiter, he keeps trying to pawn off all of the surplus crap that is sitting in the imperial stores. Who is manufacturing this stuff for them? It sure isn't a master.

So what if a factional artisan could sell items upstream to the empire (or rebellion) that can be handed out as a faction perk, in exchange for faction points? How about the pistol or rifle, or armor - you get the picture - that you can get with your faction points is based on the highest quality schematic turned into the recruiter of your faction. Whoever has turned in the schematic will receive a title acknowledging the position until a better schematic is turned in (ie. Imperial Weapon Designer) - and faction points as uxp every time one is 'purchased'.

Something - Anything - to give an Artisan a role in the GCW that doesn't involve being a messenger - or a really crappy fighter.

I like this idea, it does give meaning to artisan besides powerups.

A contradiction , however, may be "what would people spend their faction pts on?"

I still like the idea though.

Heartily seconded. And your idea is the best I've heard yet toward that end.

I like this idea, too -- it fits very nicelyinto my "crafters need more content!" crusade.

Let's say thatcovert or overt status allows a crafter to getin touch with Imperial R&D, or Mon Calamari Design Labs. Contact brings up a list of all schematics that can be "purchased" with the crafter's current amount of faction points. Purchasing a particular schematic adds it to the player's datapad in the same way that artisan missions are currently added. When the crafter makes theitem in question, he gets some meaningful amount of the appropriate type of crafting XP; and when some (other) player actually uses the faction-crafted item, the crafter could receive either more crafting XP or (possibly) new faction points.

If this sounds OK as a process, what kinds of items should factional crafters be able to make?
