Thread: Suggestion: Generic Melee Weapon Kit change name to Hilt

"Generic Melee Weapon Kit" sounds pretty lame if you ask me.

Call it a "Hilt" instead, that gives some flavor to the melee powerup name.

That's a nice idea. Generic sounds so... generic.


Do pikes have hilts?

No... but "Grip" is allready a ranged weapon powerup.

Most of the melee weapons as they function in the game appear to have a hilt, even if they do not historically.


Other melee powerup names:

"Knot" ("Cord" or "sword knot")
"Cross-guard" or "Collar"
"Pommel"
"Braid"

That's all well and good for Sword-type weapons, but just remember that Polearms don't have hilts, pommels, or cross-guards.
