How do you interpret the number (i.e. 500 wind energy gives this 1:0)? At least for maintenance it tells you in days how much time you have left. What exactly do the power numbers mean? It seems like no one knows when I talk to them in the game. Any help would be great.

This is a weird one.

OK. xx:yy on the energy timer. The yy is in hours, the xx is 60 hour blocks.

So- 0:15 would be 15 hours, 0:45=45 hours, 1:20 would be 80 hours, and 2:42=162 hours.
