Thread: Mobile Harvester / Structure Datapads?
Hi.
Have you ever had a harvester on a far off city? I have. Here's my scenario:
"I guess its time to go check the ol' wind harvester down in Moenia."
-Gets to the shuttleport-
-Waits 8 minutes 39 seconds-
-Gets on shuttle-
-Runs out 1000+ meters to check the status of the harvester-
-Takes out the 100 wind because the resources got shifted last night without notice-
-Apparently there is still 3 days, 10 hours left on the harvester-
I would be saving myself at least 30-60 minutes if I could check my harvesters remotely. What if it was a tool with two pieces, a tracking device you install into a slot in the harvester that reads out what resource it is mining, the concentration, amount of credits / energy deposited... How about you can also choose to change the resource on it and turn it on / off, in the event of an unfortunate shift?
Of course, maybe your maintainance bill could go up by 100-150 a day, making it only fair.
This is just my idea, I hope you feel it would help!
When architect craft a harvester they have the oppunity to add the module... so you can buy harvester with or without the module.

Originally, this was my first impression, but I changed it because I felt that architecht gets all the credits out of everyone anyway. I am in no way shooting the profession down, I'm just saying they make enough money already. I think it should be a Master Artisan item, but thats just me.
